She roams the oceans

under new constellations

drifting on small currents

testing the luff of her bow

against tempest and calm

and creatures below

while the steady beacon

sweeps the waves

warning the lost

guiding the weary

not searching for her.

But the revolving glow

of that familiar horizon

guides her passage

clear of the shoals.

Hugging the shore

she moors in safe harbor

with stories to tell

falling asleep in his arms.
